No-License League.

A public meeting of tho above League was hold last night in tho Baptist Chapel. v Tho chair was taken by the Rev. Fordo Carlisle. Brigadier Toomcr delivered a very interesting address, brimful of facts, one of which was that amongst shareholders in breweries in Great Britain were a number of clergymen (chiefly Anglican) and bishops. It was a noticeable fact that, on the list containing those names, there was not one Congregational minister or Salvation Army officer. Another speaker was the Rev. Doull. During the evening musical items were contributed by Misses Williamson, Seifert, R. Seifert, Baker and Pees, Messrs Wilby and Murrem. The Rev. McDonald Aspland moved a hearty vote of thanks to Brigadier Toomcr. The No-License League arc holding a scries of these meetings, and tho next will be held in the Salvation Army Hall in about a month’s time. *
