Highden Estate.

PURCHASED BY GOVERNMENT. [By Telegraph—" Tinieß " Special] WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tin 1 Government has purchased for soldier settlement Mrs Walter Johnston's estate and homestead between Palmerston North and Rongotea known as Highden. It is said there is no better land in New Zealand. Though the area is only 500 acres, it is capable of very close subdivision for dairying purposes. The price is such, the Premier states, that it could already be resold at a profit.
