A rather interesting event happened at Mr McGlone's farm Kai Iwi recently. A dairy cow had given birth to a trail calf in the ordinary course of events and she was forthwith brought into the heard and regularly milked. About a fortnignt after calving the cow gave birth to a second calf (a heifer). Instances of this kind are not unknown in the dairying industry but their occurrence is very rare.
