District Nursing Guild.
The monthly meeting of the District Nursing Guild was held yesterday. Present: Mr J. A. Nash (chairman), Mesdames Hewitt, Withers, Hannay, Morgan, Gill, MeMurray, Aitchison, Miss Kerslake, and Messrs. McLeavey and Oakley. Mrs Hannav and Mr Oakley took their seats at" the tabic for the first time, and were welcomed by the chairman. Mr Oakley responded on behalf of Mrs Hannay and himself, f During Nurse Darling's absence on leave Mrs Gill and Mrs Morgan carried out their duties in a most satisfactory manner and were recorded a heartv vote of thanks.
The Nurse reported having paid I*so visits to nineteen patients. A letter was received from Sister MaeLean, who was granted six months' leave of absence and who is on the Maheno, one of New Zealand's Hospital Ships, applying for an extension of leave, owing to the ship being engaged in carrying sick and wounded from France to England. A vote of thanks was accorded the Borough Councillors for their further grant of £2 10s. , Donations of clothing were received from Collinson and Cunninghame, Mrs Palmer of Bunnythorpe, and two 1 anonymous parcels, also a parcel of old linen from Mr? Hodder; and a donation of 10s 6d from Mrs Smith.
