Reuter's Copenhagen correspondent the naval activity on the part of British and German ships.in the Cnttegat during the past week is said to have been due to the successful passage of large numbers of British submarines into the Baltic. A British Squadron, including Dreadnought*, several cruisers, and many torpedoers, *lCtrted the submarines till they entered the Skaw, where the larger vessels stopped, w|iile torpedoers escorted the submarines as far as Elsinore, whence the submarines proceeded to the Baltic. The Germans were t«o late in discovering the movement, but they sent a flotilla of torpedoers at full speed up the Sound. But when ihey saw the British squadron at the Skaw they retreated.
