| YESTERDAY'S MATCHES. j ruder more favourable conditions the mid-week competition was continued yesterday. The wickets were in good order and slightly favoured the batsmen. Both the Phoenix and Kail way secured three point wins. PHOENIX v. DRUIDS. Druids continued their innings, but with the exception of Watchorn, who compiled 38 in his usual vigorous style, none of the remaining batsmen, made a stand. Rose and Stubbs continued School's first innings to the bowling of Just and Allingham. With Stubbs dismissed a rout set in, and no player could stay with Rose. Railway cLosed with 3 wickets down for 81 (Wakelin 50) in their second venture, leaving School 170 to get to win.
