ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

Preas Association.—By Telegraph. AUCKLAND, Oct. 29. The weather was bitterly cold, and several showers fell during training operations at Ellerslie this morning. Work as a whole was not of a startling nature.

Toreador easily beat Bedford over five furlongs. Troy ran seven furlongs in 1.38. Mono jack, with a big weight up, ran a mile in 1.47 3-5, finishing well. Mulingar, Jack Delaval, Tragedy King and Soultikoff did three-quarter pace work. Analogue was better than Sea Deal over three furlongs in 40secs. Signature beat Salute over five furlongs in 1.10.

Prince Soult, Last Call, Plentipotent finished in that order at the end 'of five furlongs. Allegation beat Goldfire and Soldier over a mile on the sand in 1.47 3-5.

Heavy rain fell during breakfast interval, but cleared before work commenced.

Goldsize, with the assistance of Eector Girl over the last seven furlongs, covered once round in 2.4 4-5. Gold Lace did five furlongs on the old track in 1.4 3-5.

King's Courier ran a furlong less on the same track in 53 2-5.

Spalfish beat Ovation over six furlongs in 1.22 3-5.

Patronale was restricted to steady pacing. Tangawai ran six furlongs in 1.24 3-5.

Glory was a head in front of Devastation at the end of once rctind in 2.9.

Tripoli was going easier than Kitty Bellaires at the end of four furlongs in 52 4-5.

Bisogne was worked at half pace. Phosphorous beat Chime over five furlongs in 1.6 4-5. Worcester, assisted by Silver Mane over the last four furlongs, covered once round in 2.3 2-5.

A good gallop was registered by Delenda and Sigma over five furlongs in 1.5 4-5.

Glad Tidings ran four furlongs in 52 3-5.

Monathol was schooled OVer the hardies and gave a fair display. Hockey, Nat, Lupin, « Transfer, Haere, Tika, Lasso and Da/by Paul were companions in schooling over the big country. Going over the hill Haere and Tika fell at the double, rider Adolph breaking his collarbone. Darby Paul gave a poor display, stopping at the sod wall.

Waltz Star gave a fine performance, beating Owen Roe over a mile and a half in 2.36. Lily veil ran nine furlongs on £he sand in 1.58%. Gladwyn 10 furlongs on the sand in 2.15. Sylvanmore 10 furlongs in 2.12%. Aurifer 10 furlongs in 2.14. Lochano 10 furlongs in 2.10%. Bracken rides St. Carwyne.
