A correspondent at Amsterdam says the severity of the loss of life in Flanders exceeds that of the battles of the Meuse and the Nethe. Shells from the sea fly here and there searching the trenches, scattering the columns, and annihilating brigades. Tin; German shells also bring death and destruction, and the carnage is .enormous. The Germans have filled , the monasteries with wounded. Fresh /German troops continue to arrive.
