An inquest was held yesterday into the death of Frederick Stephens, killed by falling under a train at Dunelin station. Evidence showed that jhe train was proceeding along the platform at six miles an hour, and deceased jumped off and on and off again, and was running alongside when he stumbled and fell underneath. The Coroner said it was only one of ihoee cases that would happen, and ■howed the necessity for people obeying Government's warnings. Government rightly would not take the responsibility of neglect of that warning. He returned a verdict in accordance with the evidence with no blam# attachable to anyone.
