DUNEDIN'S UNEMPLOYED

SPECIAL MEETING OF UNION TO BE HELD. Press Association. —By Telegraph. DUNEDIN, June 1. A meeting of unetniployed general labourers was called for this morning. The response did not, it was claimed, indicate the true position of unemployment in Dunedin. Nineteen married men with eighty-five dependents, and twenty-three single men with six dependents answered the roll call. All are able-bodied men, who, it is stated, were anxious for work. It was resolved that a special meeting of the union be held to-night, and that steps probably will be taken to place the position before Mr Massev.
