A BLENHEIM BLAZE.
I WHAfiP AND SHEDS DESTROYED I ' Press Association.—By Telegraph. BLENHEIM, April 1. A fire occurred at Clouston's wharf shortly after the steamer Blenheim left the wharf. The bond goods shed | and machinery shed were totally desj troyed with their contents, and the j wharf was partially destroyed. The shed had a full stock, including 400 sacks of barley, 200 sacks of peas, and lines of wheat, oats, chaff, and general merchandise. Machinery valued at £IOOO, and a portion of the cargo \were also destroyed. Clauston's stock and machinery were valued at £9OOO, and the buildings and wharf at £4OOO. Insurances available are: —Wharf and bond goods shed, £2250; machinery and implements, ' £610; stock, £5500, in the National. These include Clouston's own goods and wheat he was responsible for. Parker and Co. lost (540 sacks of chaff, i 200 bags of hay, and 200 sacks of ' peas which were insured in the Bri- ! tish Dominion office.
