BODY IDENTIFIED.

POSSIBLE FOUL PLAY. Press Association —By Telegraph. DUNEDIN, March 31. The body found on the foreshore end of Victoria wharf has been definitely identified as that of William Bills, a rabbiter, aged between 50 and 60. He left Marenga station two months ago, since which time no knowledge of his movements has been obtained. The circumstances, while not favouring any theory of foul play, do not eliminate the possibility of it, consequently at the inquest this morning the police asked for an adjournment after calling medical evidence. This showed bruises on the head which might be either the result of falls or blows. The condition of the stomach was consistent with chronic alcoholism. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
