Lord Haldane, Lord Chancellor, in replying to a deputation that waited !on him to urge the admission of j women to the legal profession, said he favoured the proposed Bill. He con--1 sidered they ought to leave nature t | not the law, to determine women's disabilities. Government was entirely j favourable to a Bill admitting women . to practise as solicitors.
