A SPLENDID RESULT.

HOSPITAL DAY COMMITTEE COLLECT £345 ISa Od. f OVER £726 FOR HOSPITAL. A meeting of the Hospital Day 'Committee was held in the Mayor s room last evening. There were present; —The Mayor (Mr J. A. Nash) chairman, Sister Lloyd and Messrs Mowlem, C. M. Clausen, Lyon and W. Stubbs (secretary). The balance-sheet showed that the total collections were £345 18s 6d and the expenses £ls 17s. The balance, £330 Is 6d, is to be handed over unconditionally to the Hospital Board, and it carries with it the Government subsidy of 24s in the £. Hearty votes of thanis were passed to the collectors, the Mayor as chairman, Mr Stubbs as secretary and Mr Collingwood as treasurer. ,
