ELECTION LIBEL.
SIEVIER'S ALLEGED TACTICS. A BRIBE AND THE RESULT. LONDON, yesterday. In the libel action of Robert Sievier against Percy Bone, solicitor, and T. H. Dey, bookmaker, Dey gave evidence that Sievier showed him a proof of an article intended for the Winning Post. It was of a disgusting nature, disflosine Dey's past life. After receiving £7OO Sievier instead published a complimentary editorial. During cross-examination a ha a' containing 700 sovereigns was exhibited. It weighed 15 pounds.
