In the Stroke Competition played on ay afternoon J Cross won with t"e unexpected score of 79, with his handicap off being 68 nett For second place there were three ties—F. Fryer, 80—6—74; J H. Swainson, 86—12—74; and J. R McLennan. 90—16—74. The tie will have to be rteterrained by the three players keeping their scores in the No.' 2 Bogey Handicap this morning. and the same handicap will be allowei. The tournament has progressed very satisfactorily, and considerable crelit for this must be given to Mr J. R F. Pratt. He has been splendid in starting t e players aud assisting in every manner on the opening day. Mr Oootes very kindly came down and judged the driving approach. Miss Dorothy Tripe and Miss Moore have been looking after the continuous Putting Competition, with excellent results Tney were besiege for pitting car s. an ' this event was kept lively from early to late.
