He went oa to critioise the misspelling in th<» report. "Is It a new disease?" Mr Wilford, quoting ooe of the wor s wrongly spelt. The Hon. R. H, Rhodes, Minister, explained that the copy was only a rough one procured hurriedly for the benefit of members. Mr Wilford, continuing, said he was against reduoing Dr. Beatty's salary. He thought it should be provide! at £I,OOO Instead of £650 ant would vote against the amendment (to reduce it). The chairman put the question for the reduction of Dr. Beatty's salary and it went through without opposition. Mr Ijaurenson then rooted to report progress ani the House adjourned for supper.
STONEWALL SUCCESSFUL CARRIED THROUGH BUNDA Y At 11 50 Mr Maa»ey rose and protested against the "silly and most unreasonable stonewall." He proceeded to review the events of the preceding 36 hours, but was compelled to resume his seat on a point of or,ler by Mr Wilford, who asked if it were competent for the Premier to review the doings of the House. SOMB INCIDENTS. NO WORK AND WASTED WORDS.
