TAMMANY CAMPAIGN.
AN ENDEAVOUR TO RUIN GOVERNOR SULZER POLITICALLY.
New York, August 1. Ti-ero is some talk of impf noting Mr William Sulzer, the Democratic Governor of New York State One of America's untiring iuvestigtting committees las discovered that he received several thousand collars for his campaign fund which he did not make public.
Tammany Hall, which claims to have guidel Mr Sulzer from an office b th to fe Capital at Albany, is angry because Mr Snlzer, interpreting te popular eentimeut of hour, declines to goveru the State according to the wishes of Charlie Murphy : Mr Croker's successor as boss of the famous organisation.
1 The irspiration of the exposure of Governor Sulzer is obviously political, but then there seems to be a general feeling that Governor hrs something to explain, and inasmoch as New York City is preparing to elect another Mayor, heated political animosities are likely to harmonise with the existing meteorological conditions.
