Received 5.30 p. m. Sydney, March 26. The weather was warm for the races with very slight passing show- 1 era. The attendance was satisfactory. It was an off day for Paisano. He started in th:3 Hurdles but pulled up lame half a mile from home. The All Aged Stakes attracted eleven candidates. Eudorus was a strong favourite, though weakened somewhat before the start. The moistness of the weather was expected to suit Eudorus, who likes the sting out of the ground. However, the Doncaster winner proved to be master of the English horse and won comfortably. Eudorus and Lady Medallist each sported a band-
B fhe Ccogee Handicap witnessed an accident, Kuringai falling at the distance. Tympano, Bright Laddie, and Cavity fell over her. W. H. Smith, the rider of Kuringai, and A. Thompson, Tympano's rider, were both injured. The injuries were not serious. Smith received severe bruises on the leg and shoulder and Thomas slight concussion. The Easter Stakes saw tne New Zealand-bred Beau Soult beat other youngsters nicely, making his second victory out of four starts this season. , The Cumberland Stakes saw Piastre the hottest favourite for many years at Randwick. Cadonia, who was withdrawn, was the only other considered to have any chance. The Queensland champion My Gavonni started for the second time in the afternoon and ran a good race; and Harpist likewise. The latter finished creditably, though overmatched. The City Handicap saw a protest against Flavian, who fifty yards from the post, under the whip, bored Patrimony against the rails, thougn ■when straightened Flavian came away easily. The protest was dismissed. Results: — HURDLES.— Lewis Rand 10.7 (McGee) 1 Boyong 10.10 (Edwads) * Gorlias 10.5 (Woodburn) o Eight started, including Paisano. Won by two lengths. Time 4.51&. ALL-AGED STAKES.Jolly Beggar (Lambert) 1 Eudorus (Lewis) * Aurifer (Smith) ® Also started.—Yolsloane, Broadsword, Lady Medallist, My Grovanni, Sir Willie, St. Medoc, Cider, Golden Hop. It was a beautiful start. Aurifer and Volsloane took up the running, followed by Jolly Beggar and Eudorus. At the six furlongs' post Yolsloane was leading with Jolly Beggar one and a half lengths behind. Tnen followed Eudorus, Broadsword, Aurifer, and Lady Medallist. At the distance, Volsloane, Jolly Beggar, and Eudorus were level. Jolly Beggar then out and won by one and a half lengths Yolsloane was fourth and Sir' Willie and Cider next together. Time 1.39. fOOGEE HANDICAP.—
Malthusian 8.4 (Wood) Lohano 8.4 (Barnett) Popinjay 7.12 (McLachlan)
Seventeen started, including Yalido, and Electrakoff. Won by half a length. Time 1.55. EASTER STAKES.— Beau Soult (Lightfoot) 1 Malbrook (Lambert) 2
Flamboyant (Wood) 3 Ten started. Won by a length and three-quarters. Time 1.29^. CUMBERLAND STAKES.— Piastre (Connell) 1
Harpist (McLachlan) 2 My Gavonni (Pike) 3 Also started—Anrofodina, Diabolo, Offa. As usual Offa acted as pacemaker, followed My Gavonni, Diabolo and Piastre. At the half mile the order was: Piastre two lengths ahead of My Gavonni and Harpist, with Anrofodina and Diabolo five lengths away. Piastre came away at the distance and won easily by three lentghs. Anrofodina was fourth and Diabolo last. Time 3.30%. CITY HANDICAP.— Flavian7.l2 (Wood) 1
Patrimony 6.9 (Pike) 2 "Waltz 7.2 (William) 3 Twolve started. Won by a length and a half. Time 2.49%.
