TRANSPORT WORK. Pre»» Association.—By Telegraph Christchurch, Yesterday.
The Territorials in camp at Yaldhurst put through a marching and entraining and detraining move today.
In the morniug th«y marched in from camp and through the city, lunched at Hagley Park, then marched to railway station, entrained in two troop trains, detrained at Hornsby, and marched back to Yaldhurst.
The parade strengths were Ist N. Z Engineers, 5 officers 97 men;
Signal Corps, 2 officers 54 men; Ist Regiment, 24 officers 406 men; 2nd Regiment, 16 officers 450 men; 12th Regiment, 17 officers 531 men; 13th Regiment, 22 officers 491 men; No. 3 Field Ambulance, 1 officer 71 men;
Headquarter's Staff, 2 officers 1 man.
The march through the town was in every way impressive. Tlie greatest interest was evinced by the public and the route was lined by many thousands of spectators. So keen were son:© that the aid of taxi cars and cabs was invoked and a journey made down the route to catch a first glimpse of the Territorials.
After lunch at Ilaglev I'avk the men marohed in rw.» divisions to the station whence two special troop trains conveyed them back to Hornby.
