TARIFF REFORM.
AS TOLD TO WORKERS.
Press A sen—By Telegraph—Copyright Received 11.45 p.m. London, March 18.
Mr Bonar Law addressed four thousand unionist workers at Manchester.
He said: "We cannot fight with one policy in one part of the country and with another policy in another part. Unless the local associations are careful to select candidates supporting the official policy the position will become impossible. The unionists' duty is not to magnify the differences."
He denied that the compromise implied the sacrifice of principle to expediency.
