CYCLE RELIABILITY TRIAL.

Yesterday morning at 6.30 the first team of competitors in the motor cycle reliability trial from Wellington was despatcned for Palmerston North, the end of the first day's run. To-day tne trial will be continued, the riders returning to Wellington, via Sandon, Foxton, Shannon and Levin—ajtotal distance of 2£o miles. The petrol consumption test will be conducted on Saturday afternoon between Waikanae and Wellington, and the hill climb will be held on the Paepakariki Hill. The competitors are due in town at about 6 p.m. to-day. Of the sixteen entrants the following faced the starterT. Burn {2% h.p. New Hudson), H. Plimmer, C. S. Pees (2% h.p. Douglas), J. Boucher (3% h.p. Rudge), D. G. Jack, R. Burn (3% h.p. New Hudson), C. V. Sutherland, R. Keene, C. W. Tanner, A. Anderson h.p. Triumph), H. Hume, R. S. Bender, H. Gastein (7 h.p. Indian), and I. V. Wilson (8% h.p. F. and N.).
