JANINA FALLS. ESSAD PASHA SURRENDERS. Athens, Yesterday. .Tanina has surrendered to the Greeks after severe fighting. The Greeks pounded away in a terrific bombardment for two days, thirty thousand shells falling in the works. The infantry then stormed the defences. The Turks were routed and fled in indescribable panio towards Janina. Many guns and prisoners were captured. Essad Pasha surrendered to the Crown Prince.

IN WESTERN TURKEY. GREEKS DEFEAT TURKS. FALL OF JANINA. Received 10.10 p.m. Athens, March 7. The Crown Prince on Tuesday secretly moved his troops, makirg the Turks expect an attack on their right wing. Then he ordered a concentrated bombardment, silencing Bizani. While the Greek artillery was diverting the Turkish attention, large bodies approached Manobasa heights on the left wing of the Turks, who surprised, fled. Fort Thsuka was also surprised and captured. At dawn on Wednesday the Greeks continued their advance and occupied the heights, capturing guns. The Turkish flight became general by three on Wednesday afternoon. Essad Pasha in a midnight message to the Crown Prince, said the garrison were unable to resist further. Talaat Bey and Reouf Pasha arranged that thirty-five thousand prisoners should lay down their arms. Detachments of the Greek cavalry at dawn entered Janina.

EXCITING INCIDENT. TURKS TAKE 600 SERBS. Received 12.20 a. m. London, March 7. The Daily Telegraph's Vienna correspondent states that during the storming of Barditza Prince Danilo fell into a trench. The Turks made a desperate effort to'capture the prince, liut a Servian battalion rescued him. Meanwhile the Turks were strongly reinforced and made a flank movement and forced six hundred Servians to surrender. It is reported that the six hundred have since been murdered.
