Owners and trainers are reminded that acceptances for the Woodville Jockey Club's meeting close with the secretary, Mr E. J. Gothard, at Woodville, to-night ar S p.m. MANAWATU TROTTING CLUB. Owners of trotting horses are reminded that nominations for the ab«ve meeting close on Friday next, 114 th inst, at 10 p.m., with the secretary, Mr Watson. Very liberal stakes are offered and should induce big entries of both local and outside horses, the Club making every effort to provide a first-class meeting. The track is in excellent order, as is shown by the times put up at the motor cycle sports, when a minute to the mile was aecorded. The Half-Holiday Association has granted the closing of the shops at 12 on the day of the races, and this concession will enable , townspeople to be present in time for the lirst race.
