MT. TASMA.N MEASURED. (Press Association. —By Telegraph. Wellington, Last Night. Mr Samuel Turner wired to the Press Association: —"We successfully climbed Mt. Tasman. Its height is not 8;0ft less than Mt. Cook. It is New Zealand's second highest mountain. 11,475 ft. We had 4000 ft of step cutting, which constitutes a record on any mountain in the world. My guides were Peter Graham and David Thomson, who did splendid work."
