WEEK-END TELEGRAMS.
TO PLACES BEYOND NEW ZEALAND. Week-end telegrams are to be reexchanged between the United Kingdom and the Dominion of New Zealand on the following conditions:— The telegrams must be written iu plain language and will be subject to the same regulations as are applicable to deferred ordinary cable telegrams, except that when the telegrams are to be posted from a cable station they must bear a full address. Iu such a case a code indicator address cannot be acceped. Week-end tele grams may be lodged at a telegraph offiice on a Saturday not later than 8 p.m. Senders of such telegrams tdesirous of not incurring the inland transmission rate of one halfpenny per word, may post such telegrams to the cable station at Auckland or Wakapuaka. Postage must be prepaid and letters must be posted to reach the cable office not later than 8 p.m. on a Saturday. Week-end telegrams are accepted subject to being despatched at the convenience of the cable authorities between midnight 011 Saturday and Monday morning, other traffic being given preference. Delivery of week-end telegrams in the country of destination will be by means of posting from the cable terminal office by night mails 011 Mondays, unless the sender desires to pay the inland telegram rate of the countiy of destination, in which case the message will be telegraphed to the office of destination and deivery made from there on Monday evening at the hour fixed for the outgoing of general night mails. Week-end telegrams received in New Zealand will be posted to the addresses at midnight 011 Mondays.
