Itcomprises 39,000 boxen, forming a fortnightly shipment. On Friday 10,000 boxes will be shipped by the Marama to Canada, and on Saturday the Corinna will sail from Onehunga with 29,000 boxes and 450 crates of cheese for transhipment by the lonic at Wellington to be delivered iu London. The Mokoia will take 100 crates of cheese on Saturday for transhipment at Wellington 'into the Otaki, by which it will be carried to Bristol.
This fortnight's export of butter establishes a new record, eclipsing the previous largest which comprised 31,096 boxes and formed the last shipment in November. The record shipment of last season was 26,624 boxes of butter. The shipment during the present season (from September 9 to December 20) have reached a total of 180,234 boxes, compared with 139,994 boxes during the period from September 16 to December 23 last year. The increase of 40,240 boxes is equivalent to 29 per cent.
