Sydney, Yesterday. A heat wave was general throughout Australia to-day. The temperature in the shade was 92 degrees at Sydney and 115 degrees at Menindie, which was the recorded in New South Wales.

A temperature of 122 degrees at Eucla, a coastal town oil the Australian Bight, on the boundary betweeu South and West Australia, was the highest recorded in Australia.
