MoOaughern, of the Excelsior Bakery and Refreshment Reams, is now taking ciders for hotcross buns, The Foilding Tennis Club will engage in a match with tlio Marton Tenuis Club at Marton on Saturday next. In this issue we have pleasure iu announcing that Mr Percy Coyle's new stock of everything to bo fonud iu au up-to-date gentlemen's outfitting establishment has arrived. The stock has been socially selected, it is quite new aud comprises the latest ideas from the world's leading manufacturers and. moveover, will be sold at reasonable prices. Ties aud caps are displayed iu profusion whilst' all other lines are fully stocked. In the semi-final for the Oroua Teunis Club's championship Trevona defeated Siuolair 6-4, 6—3. The other day the capabilities of different local horses ou a distance journey wero discussed by several of <the fenowiug ones. Geueral conversation ultimately drifted into general argument and. now it is generally rumoured that the claims of the owner to drive his pair of cobs 500 miles'in eight days will be contested, A liberal wager is attached to the ' proposed match which, if it eventu- ; ates, will create a great deal of interest in this district. Mr John 'Oobbe is again to ; the fore with a window display. This year the usual high stamlard is adhered to, and the leading liues in Mr Odbbe'a extensive stock are shown ■to advautage.
