SIR GEORGE R EID.
CORDIALLY RECEIVED BY THE KING. (Fregß Association.—By Telegraph.— Copyright). London, Yesterday. The King cordially reoieved Sir George Reid and oonferred his knighthood upon him. He had a special audience for twonty minutes with the King, who showed deep interest in the Commonwealth 'affairs, Sir George,dines with the King on Saturday.

King Edward, in conferring the Knighthood on Sir Geo. Reid, invested him with tho insignia of a Oommander of St. Michael.'
Sir George Reid had a long interview with Rear-Admiral Jelliooe at the Admiralty. Hon. Hall-Jones also interviewed the Admiral oonoerning the New Zealand Dreadnought.
