' , . : ANNUAL MEETING. : The annual meeting of tho lianawatu Referees' Asßooiation was held laßt evening in the' Working Men's Oiub, Present-Messrs Warden (chairman), Payne, Drew, Duthle, Frew, E. Nash, Freeman, Mundy and Olelaud. ' An apology was received from Rev. 0. 0. Harper. The report and balanoe-sheet, wlyoh showed a healthy state of affairs, were adopted.,, In moving their adoption the President made reference to the, unselfishness displayed by members of the Association in controlling gdmes. The following officers were elected -President, Mr 0. H. Warden; vicepresident, Mr E. Nash; seoretary, MrO. H. Olelaud; executive committee, Messrs Frew, Foote, Freeman and Manning; appointment oommittee, president, vice-president and secretary. Mi Payne's aotion in nominating Mr A. N. Gibbons as vice-president to the New Zealand Refeiees' Absooiation was approved. Votes of thanks were aocorded tho Palmerston and Feilding papeis for free notices of meetings, also to Mr Willis, the retiring seoretary,' and Mr Payne for attending the New Zealand Referees' Associations Conference at New Plymouth. The seoretary was instructed to write tc Mr Piiani, Feilding, with tho object of forming a Feilding hranoh of the Association. It was deoided that general meetings of referees be held on the first and third Wednesday of eaoh month, the next meeting to be on Wednesday the 28th inst.
