PUBLIC OPINION.
MORE POLO. To the Editor. Sir -My wife visited the Polo ground with a lady friend andoame home highly indignant beoause 'swear words' had been used by the players I told her that she must have been mistaken and that' it was possibly the ponies which were being called by name. "Well," she retorted " if suoh is the case one man rode a horse oalled 'God Almighty' " She has however declined to aooept my explanation and I write you asking if you consider that I have tried to mislead her. My wife has sinoe failed to find some of the ponies names in the family Bible, but I have informed her that they only ooour in the revised version.—l am etc.. TIM TITUS. PalmerstonN.,Maroh27th.
