FEILDING NOTES.
(Prom Onr Own Correspondent.) Yesterday the swimming baths were emptied and oleaued out—some nine or ten days after they were opened. It takes about seven hours to All the baths, and with a dry season, to empty them weekly will bo almost impossible. The usual practice in the four oenties is to only partially empty the baths every third or fourth week and three times during the season it is entirely emptied and whitewashed. Rongotea has contributed to the Clarion Bread *'und £23 10s. A sum of £lO 10s was the pioceeds of a dauce, and £l3 was taken by a concert given by the Glen Orona schoolchildren. A party from Poxton under the management of Mr Betty gave a eoncert at Glen Orona in aid of the Poxton Presbyterian manse fund. There was a large and appreciative andienoe, all the items being rendered admirably. At the close of the oonoert a danoe was held, whioh was kept np until the small hours,
