Mingings and others, asking construction of 15 ohains of road to give aooessto their places.-Referred to Works Committee. Glerron and Boss, pontraotors for kerbing, oomplnining that the kerbing and ohannelling were being damaged because they were not supported by the eaithwork.-Maintenance men to fill in, but Council takes no responsibility for damage. Treasury, forwarding order-in-Couuoil for £4OOO loan. Mnnoipal Association, asking what percentage of'wages Counoil would contribute towards suggested local bodies omployees superannuation scheme, and what employees would be involved,—Town Clerk to report to next meeting. Valuer-Qeneial, asking for representative of Counoil for Assessment Court.—Committee to nominate. Mrs Wrightson, asking for approach to her house in Derby street. -Oontraot to be let shortly when matter would be attended to. ' Manchester Brass Baud, asking permission to hold a garden party iu South Park about Easter.—Referred to Park Committee. ENGINEER'S REPORT.

The Engineer reported tlmt the last fresh in the river washed away a portion of the pastern bunk at the intake and the main stream had taken a new ohannel. A small stream still follows the old channel striking the papa cliff 3 or 4 ohaina above our proposed inlet ohamber. Ho saw no reason to alter the position of the ohamber. The river could easily be led baok, bnt a more oostly groyne will be lieceßeary to divert the water iuto its old ohannel.

A sewer oonneotion was required James & Coy., ooaoli builders in Kimbolton Road, the only premises that will require to be drained direotly into Kimbolton Road. He did not see how it would be possible to put the kerb in deeper at Flavell's property. The filliqg of the ditoh oomplained of was not by his instructions.

That the Fiuance Committee report on the amount of loan money allocated for the several streets in whioh channelling and footpath formation work has been done, together with the amorin't expended on Buch streets, That the assistant engineer be asked to provide conditions tor alternate tenders for kerbing, channelling and formation of footpaths and that the Works Committee oonfer with the assistant eugineer. That tenders for the couatruotion of the intake be held over pending a visit of the Council to the site and that the deposits of the two highest tenderers be returned, That four'of the applicants for the position of caretaker of the baths be interviewed by the Baths Oomniitteo and the oaretaker selected from them, That the metalling asked for the pound be referred to the Works Committee. That the special rate for the £421) loan for Council's share of oost of Lower Gorge bridge be confirmed,
