ENTERTAINMENTS.

WEST'S PICTURES

Oa Tuesday evening next the Palmereton season of West'e Piotureß and De Groen'a Vice-Regal OrcKestra commences at the Opera House. The leputation of Mr West as a pictare producer is of bucli & high standard that the public can assuredly rely on the very latest and best cinematographic subjects obtainable being shown, more especially as at each performance the programme trill be entirely changed. A special matinee will be given on Wednesday afternoon and those desirous of booking seats for any of the lour entertainments to be given in tliia town can do bo at Park's stationery store. In Wellington the Towa Hall has been crowded nightly for orer a fortnight, and the applaueo and enthußiam of the thousands who hate visited "West's Pictures" ha'a been nnbounded. A special feature of all Mr West's programmes is the almost entire deletion of the "fake" picture and in its place really beautiful scenic studies of foreign lands, thus bringing the programmes up to a high form of excellence uuapnroached by other picture showmen. Of course some of the more interesting dramatic studies are retained, it being necessary to cater for all tapfces, but generally the public will find the West programme vastly superior to others produced heretofore.
