♦ THE SHAH DEFIED. Press Association—Oonyright. Teheran, December 17. The Shah has asked for the dismissal of 2000 armed nationalists who are guarding Parliament. The president refused, declaring that the Shah was committing treason against the constitution necessitating his deposition.
