SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AT
WELLINGTON.
Per Press Association. Sunday Night. Determined efforts were put forth with great success to make the Hospital Saturday and Sunday in Wellington this year eclips» all previous oolleotions. Yesterday the passer-by was aocosted at every corner by ladies armed with red-cross-labelled boxes, and £249 was secured in addition to boxes from the hotels yet to be pmptied. On the Basin Reserve tbis after-
noon the rations bands .gave their nervines and 5,000 to 6,000 people attended and lady . colletcors assiduously worked,' among them, adding largely to yesterday's total. The crowd was addressed by. the Hon. T. W. Hislop. Mayor, and the Hon. O. M. Luke, M.L.0., Chairman of the Hospital Trustees.
