PENALTIES. Hurdle Baces—The winner of any hurdle race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101b, and for every additional race 71b extra. Flat Baces—The winner of any fl.at race (excepting Manawatu Cup) after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101b, and of every additional race a further penalty of 61b extra. Houses handicapped at Bst 101b and over to carry only half the above penalties. Or, if the handicapper considers it necessary, he may increas« the above penalties.
