Poles at Lemberg made a demonstration against Prussia's Polish legislation and burnt the Kaiser in effigy, and smashed the windows of the hotel where the German Consul is residing.

The Star newspaper was ordered to pay Mr Hnnt, the Town Clerk of Westminster, £800, for a libel on him by stating that lie was obstructing the progressive agents during the election.
