Messrs Murray, Roberts & 00. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London House, dated 29th November, 1907:—Compared with the average rates of last London sales, medium to extra good Merino has declined 10 to 15 per cent, inferior and faulty Merino declined 20 per cent. The market for the latter is very irregular Greasy crossbred has declined sto per cent, coarse descriptions showing the greatest decline. The competition is limited. The cheese shipped by the 8.9. Corinthic arrived in good condition, and is quoted at 60s. The hemp market is dull and transactions light at last quotations. There is a better demand for hemp The cooksf oot seed market is quiet. ■• Prospeots are favourable although buyers are not keen to do business at the present time. The average ?irice of 171b bright dressed seed is ss. HARRY PALMER & CO. Harry Palmer & Co. report an exceptionally busy market with full entries of pige and poultry. There were plenty of keen buyers, so that notwithstanding ' the abnormally large entries values were more than sustained. Porkers and stores were in greatest demand. We have very ' many enquiries for good table cockerels, young duoke and turkeys. These will at all times command a ready sale at good payable prices. We are now selling fresh fish every morning and prices are proving satisfactory to vendors whilst the public are getting a considerable reduction. Messrs Dwan Bros., Wellington, report having sold a valuable block of land in Hawkestone Orescent, Wellington, to Mr William Ryan of Falmerston North. Mr Ryan has seoured a very fine block of rent-pro-dnoing properties.
