The milliners' windows at Aix-lei Baius are full of hats. To speak more correctly, each window is full of a hat. I saw one (says a press writer) the other day which tempted me to ask the modiste to let me see how long it would take to walk round it. I wandered where I should see' it again. I had not long to wait, for the same night I went to see "Faust" at the Grande Cercle, and the hat came and sat down in front of me. The music was well rendered, but of the rest of the performance I knew ribthing. H that hat went to the Valley of Ohamonix, I doubt if any of the tourists would be able to see Mont Blanc.
