THE LAND BILL.
Per Presr Xiscuiation Auckland, May 3. Mr C. H. Poole, addressing his constituents, said he believed the Land Bill had been brought down by Mr McNao for the purpose of gauging public opinion. It was an honest attempt to solve the question and the voice of the people was being heard. He prophesied that the Pure Foods Bill would be passed next session. He was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Mr Massey addressed a large meeting on the Land Bill. A resolution was carried that the freehold |tenure is the most suitable.
