On Wednesday afternoon four mem* bersofthe Marton Bowling Club challenged the present holders of" Advocate Feathers,'' and a most exciting gams ended in favour of the defending team by one point. The first game WM drawn-18 all—and the next head the jack was knocked off the green. The second head the jack was knocked into another rink, and the third attempt the bowls as between the two teams could not be divided. In the fourth head the challenging side were lying three bowls in, and the last bowl delivered by the Bkip (Mr H. Sutcliffe) proved disastrous, giving his side a point to the advantage.
