At Palmeraton on Thursday we had an average entry of cattle principally consisting of grown bullocks. Competition was not keen at Auction and a number of lines had to be turned out unsold, the greater portion being sold privately. Sheep were in sborfc supply, and bidding was not very brisk. Quotations :— Forward bullocks £7 7s, 3 and 4 year steers £5 7s 6d to £6, 2vr steers £3 4s, epiinging heifers M 12s to £6 11s, sprmging cows £5 to £6 7s 6d, 15mos well-bred heifers JB2, weaners 21s to 22s 63, Btore cow* 30s to £2, ; ewes and lambs 19a lid to 255, hoggets 15s to 17s 9d, others 11s to 14s Id.
