A portion of the crew landed, but when the boat returned for the remainder, it was carried away to the east coast by the current and a heavy wind. The hoat was picked up by the KonQofcarra, and those on the Island Were also taken off. The vessel is owned by Shaw, Savill and Co., and is only insured at half value. There is not the slightest ohance of saving the vessel or oi even obtaining salvage. The captain states it w*s blowing a whole gale when the vessel struck.
