Tbftre was a good competition on Tuesday for the ladies' medal, Mrs A. Strang winning with the very good return of 126 gross, Jess 3 hep., 123 net. Miis Slack'was' again a most consistent ; player, and starting at scratch finished ■second with 126; Mrs M'Donell third, with 135; less hep. 12, 127 ; while Mis ■ John Strang, practically a beginner, did well to get into fourth place with 181 net.

-On Saturday the Otaki Golf Club will ttoring a team of both ladies and gentleanen. The following local ladies will iplay : Mrs L. A. Abraham, Mrs Cohen, Mrs M'Donell, Miss McLennan, Mrs Munro, Miss Kutherfurd, Miss Slack; , emergency, Mrs J. Strong. <On Monday next the ladies play a handicap bogey competition for Mrs Russell's prizes, in two classes—seniors handicap of not over 12, and juniori of over 10.
