Roberts further *i( eged that Paltridge, the owner of Pharos at that time,, gave him a chequa and cash for £15 to pull his mount. Roberts also alleged thai Corngan gave certain directions regarding the tunning of Ranana at tho Wanganui meeting in March. After hearing very full evidence— in which some startling disclosures wen made—Corrigan, Paltridge, and John* ton (rider of Toledo) denying allegation* in toto-the Committee decided as follows:— "That J. R. Corrigan, Hugh Paltridge, and George Roberts, be warned off and disqualified for lifo." I* was also resolved, That as there is not sufficient corroborative evidence against Percy Johnston, no further action be taken.
O'Connell, the rider of Moturoa, is already under disqualification for two years in connection with the utut Incident.
