Auckland, Last Night. The Governor made reference to his approaching departure at the Auckland Bowing Club's smoke concert last night. " I can assure you." he said, " that I leave tins colony with tho very deepest regret. .1. have spent, amongst you very pleasant years, and ie is tho people of the colony who have made those years so plensiint for mo, and there is one thing I have been and hiu still convinced about, and I am prepared to state everywhere and that is that there is no people under the British flag more loyal to the King, more loyal to the Empire in their ideas and deeds than the people of New Zrnland."
