Hastings, Yesterday. The body of a man, aged about 50, was found drowned in the Waimarama beach on Saturday. The inquest has been postponed for the identification of the body. ~
mv ~ Oamaku, Yesterday. Ihe body of an elderly man, a&omposed beyond recognition, was found ia the Waitaki river, opposite Kurow, yes' terday. Deceased was aged about 55The body had evidently been in the> water three weeks. So far as is known no one is missing in the district. The body was partly nude. Probably de. ceased was drowned while attempting to swim the river above Kurow.
Dvsmm, Last Night, A compositor named Scott has been missing from Alexandra since noon on Saturday. He left a letter saying h« intended to throw himself into th« river.
Scott was seen near the bank of the Molynexu, and there' are "footprint! which appear to indicate he carried oat his intention. ■
