The steamship Owners' Federation has adopted resolutions recognising the necessity for a Commonwealth Navigation Bill and expressing extreme dissatisfaction with the Bill now drafted, also making suggestions for a comprehensive measure amending and consolidating the existing States legislation with the object of safeguaiding the public interest and developing a mercantile marine for Australia.
